July 2024 Box
Lucinda Berry
Do you remember the movie Taken? It’s a bit of a dated reference, but the 2018 Liam Neeson vehicle was memorable for one thing. The phone call. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, Google “a very particular set of skills”. While we were doing research on our July author, Lucinda Berry, that movie kept popping in our head. Because she has a very particular set of skills that make her the perfect author for a psychological thriller. Lucinda began her career as a clinical psychologist, working extensively with trauma survivors. You can see it in her work. Her novels are expertly crafted to reveal the complexities of the human psyche, making her stories both engaging and thought-provoking. This month’s featured title, If You Tell a Lie, is no exception. Lucinda was also kind enough to sit down with us for a lengthy interview – she was an absolute treat to talk to.
